Roshani Rasaili is a Nepali folk and lok pop singer. With her enchanting melodies and captivating presence, she has captured the hearts of countless admirers. Roshani, born in Baglung, Western Nepal, now resides in Kavre with her husband Ramesh Shivashankar. During her childhood, she lived in Baglung with her Grandmother and attended Bhairab Secondary School. Later, she moved to Kathmandu and pursued music at Tribhuvan University. Roshani developed a passion for music at a young age and began participating in local events and competitions as a singer.

Music Career

After relocating to Kathmandu, Rasaili started her journey in the music industry. Her father played a pivotal role by inspiring and teaching her various aspects of music. She began her music career in 2009 with the song "Kati Palayo Dali," which was featured by Ambika Music. In the same year, she released her first solo album titled "Mutu Bijhaune."

Since then, she has released numerous popular songs and albums like "33 kilo sun," "bhatti pasal," "kavre ma ghar chha-1," "kavre ma ghar chha-2," "sali bhena," "raksi ganayo," "chautari ma bar chha," "baule paisa pathai diya," "tehi keti man paryo," "melamchi aauchh," "garcchu maya garchhu," "dadaghare kanchhi," "maya launa," "gauko bikash garne bhaya," "sunko chura," and more. While her latest song is called "Furfur Putali" and has collaborated with renowned Nepali musicians such as Dipak Sharma, Bhojraj Kafle, and Madhab Raj Kharel in her musical career.

On 1 February 2018, she accomplished the incorporation of the Guinness World Records song title "Melancholy" with the distinction of "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording." This extraordinary feat was made possible due to her exceptional dedication to Sustainable Environment and Ecosystem Management (SEEM). The song, named Melancholy, showcased the vocal talents of 365 Nepali Artists and was recorded on 19 May 2016 at Radio Nepal Studio at Singha Durbar. The song's duration amounted to 33 minutes and 49 seconds.

Rasaili was honored with an international Award in the category of "Best Women Leadership Excellence in the Music & Entertainment Industry." This prestigious award was given at the South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards (SAPS) that took place on 10 December 2021, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

She has also received numerous national awards in various fields. Her mesmerizing voice and captivating performances have earned Rasaili the esteemed title of Best Folk-Pop Singer for her enchanting rendition of the "Furfur Putali" a lok pop song. Moreover, her soul-stirring interpretation of the mesmerizing "Sali Bhena" song has garnered her acclaim as the Best Nepali Folk Female Singer.

The ethereal allure of her voice has resonated widely, leading to her being honored as the Best Teej Song Singer for her captivating performance of the song "Garchhu Maya Garchhu." Additionally, in 2023, she was bestowed with the title of Best Folk Duet Singer by the National Creative Citizen Award.
